Billy is Managing Director of External Services, which he founded in 2010. He provides commercial, legal, company secretarial and governance advice. He has over 20 years of experience in providing Board level support in a variety of sectors and specialises in the onshore and offshore renewable energy sectors.
Billy's Story
Billy read law at the University of Hull and trained as a lawyer before qualifying as a chartered company secretary. He has over 20 years' experience in the energy and civil construction sectors, particularly in renewable energy, and also has experience in the banking and finance sectors. He has held key positions within the businesses of previous employers and has negotiated multi-million pound construction contracts for onshore and offshore projects in the UK and several foreign jurisdictions. He is Company Secretary of Adnams plc and Gelion Plc, which are listed on Aquis and AIM respectively. Before founding External Services, Billy previously worked at Severn Trent plc (a FTSE 100 company), SLP Engineering and Triodos Bank N.V.
