Jo is a 16 year PQE commercial solicitor with extensive in-house experience.
She advises on a variety of commercial contracts, including in the areas of procurement, IT, distribution, outsourcing, licensing and the varied aspects of print and digital publishing. Jo also advises on intellectual property and data protection issues. Her time as an in-house lawyer in a fast moving, cost efficient media organisation ensures that she concentrates on the real issues when dealing when advising clients.

From there, she went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science at Nottingham University and then studied law at Chester College of Law. Jo qualified as a solicitor with Eversheds in 2000. At Eversheds she advised a variety of spin-off entities to large multinationals on intellectual property and commercial law matters, before moving to the commercial department of Osborne Clarke.
Jo then spent 11 years as an in-house solicitor at Future PLC (including two years heading up the legal team) and completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property at Bristol University.
